I have been using coupons, information on this website and price matching. When wer go out to dinner we order water to drink I ask for lemon and make my own lemon aid. when we go to Olive Garden we order one meal and an extra salad so we can eat for under $20 most of the time and that is with the tip.

I signed up for free for the FMG (Frequent Movie Goer) card at and I chose to get their emails. Each week I get a newsletter with a coupon for CHEAP popcorn and drinks, or you can go here to print them out anytime. The FMG newsletter will list all the shows and those with the logo next to it you can purchase tickets at the box office for the matinee price anytime, any day.

Most of the time, I take the kids to the free movies on Saturday (Sunday also available) mornings. Go here for a list of movies and dates I then use my coupon for a medium popcorn and drink for $4.00 and sometimes if you show your FMG card you get another 50cents off. You get free soda refills and 50cent popcorn refills on any size. (I never need a popcorn refill on the medium.) You can get a large combo for $4.50 or a small combo for $3.50 with the coupon as well. Can't beat a movie with soda and popcorn for the family for $4-8 (if my hubby goes, we get two combos, just for ease of sharing between the 4 of us.)

Like others, I too clip coupons and search the internet for the best deals. Whenever the hubs and I go out to dinner, which is often a rare occassion, we always go to a restaurant that we have a coupon for. My mom bought an Entertainment book and she has allowed me to take coupons from that. So- not only did I not shell out the cash for the book, but I am getting to reap the benefits of it.
I've also learned to stock up on things when they're on sale. I use to be one of those shoppers who would only buy what I needed right there and then, but I've realized that taking advantage of amazing sales on items like soda pop, water, detergent, etc really helps me to save $ in the long run. Whenever KMart is doubling coupons, I make it a family effort by giving my husband a list and coupons, and myself doing the same.
Finally, when it comes to clothes, I shop ahead. I always buy off of the sale rack, and take store coupons, too. A few months ago, Kohls had toddler summer clothes marked down up to 80% off. I was amazed how many pairs of shorts, shirts, etc I was able to grab for my son next year.

A couple things...first, i use the yahoo group you trade things (all for free). i've found a few great things! also, i tend to buy in bulk. when things are on sale, i buy multiples of that item. there are a lot of things that are freezable. i also shop at Costco, which helps:)

I have been a saver for lots of years....I have double couponed and stockpiled lots....I use to compare how much I spent versus how much I saved on my receipts...amazing what one can do.
Gardening saves me alot...I sold my pumpkins and made over $50...more than enough to pay for the seeds and plants used in the garden. Canning and freezing the products I raise saves $$$. I read ads and rebate items that I need and/or want. It takes time, but it is worth it. I used the Walgreens ad and coupon to get the Halls cough drop packages for $.50.
A couple of years ago, when I was tired of dragging my water bottles to Town & Country to refill for $.25, we purchased and installed a reverse osmosis system in our house and now our bottled water is free (only cost is a new filter yearly)!!

I just recently attended a faithful savings party which taught me even more about savings which I love!!!! To save money I try to have meals that are ready to go so I'm not so tempted to go out to eat. I take a day every now and then and make taco meat, sloppy joes, browned ground beef, chili, and diced chicken. I cook it and freeze it. Then the night before a busy day I take it out and put it in the refrigerator and the next morning I take the semi frozen meat and put it in the crockpot on low. By the time I get home from work it's ready to eat!

My husband and I use a lot of coupons whenever we can. We also try to recycle as much as possible.

We have a garden, so I can and freeze vegetables and fruits. That helps a lot with the cost of groceries, especially in the winter. I do some couponing, and always try to buy several of the same item if it is a good sale price. I also shop at Good Will (especially on half-price days). I have gotten a lot of new or nearly new name brand clothes at a fraction of the cost. I hardly ever use a credit card, but if I do, I pay off the balance at the end of the month to save paying interest charges.

I'm a huge internet shopper. There is a coupon discount code for EVERYTHING! Searching Google for coupons has become my best friend. :) No deal, No buy.

I save money by couponing! I've been doing in since September 2009 and have cut our monthly grocery/eating out bill in half!! It's been great for our family and a huge savings each month. I also use coupons and sales to stock up for birthdays, Christmas, and any other special events.

other than our cars and house we have no debt. We don't own a credit card and buy things only if we have the cash to pay for it so there is no extra money being spent in interest charges.
